White Card Changes

ONLINE WHITE CARDS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (EXCEPT IN WA) AFTER 19th JULY

We have been advised by the Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety Western Australia (DMIRS) that, following an industry review, they will no longer allow Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to issue WA White Cards to students that are not physically located in WA at the time of assessment

These changes take effect from 5pm AEST 19th July 2019.

This means that if you purchase a White Card course though us prior to 5pm AEST 19th July 2019, and you are not physically located in Western Australia, you will have until 5pm AEST 13th September 2019 to complete all course, assessment and document requirements in order to receive your WA White Card.

If you fail to complete all course, assessment and document requirements by 5pm AEST 13th September 2019, we will be unable to issue you with a white card and you will not be eligible for a refund of the course cost.

After 19th July 2019…

If you purchased a White Card course before 5pm AEST 19th July 2019, and you don’t live in WA, you have until 5pm AEST 13th September 2019 to complete all course, assessment and document requirements in order to receive a White Card.

Important Queensland White Card Changes

We have been advised by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) that, following an industry review, they will no longer allow Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to issue Queensland White Cards for online training from February 2019.

This means that in order to receive a Queensland White Card after 31 January 2019, everyone will need to attend a face-to-face training session in a Queensland location. *

What does this mean for you?

After 31 January 2019, all students who complete the online white card course will receive a WA white card until the WA requirements change on 19th July 2019.

Western Australian White Cards are recognised in all Australian States and Territories and you do not need to live in WA to receive one.

If you currently reside in Western Australia, these changes will not affect you as you will be automatically issued with a WA white card. The changes affect Queensland White Cards only.

After the 19th July, online white cards will no longer available except for those living in WA.

* You may be able to complete training online if you live over 100km from the nearest available training centre. Please contact us us for more information about remote areas online delivery approval.
