Important White Card Changes
ONLINE WHITE CARDS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (EXCEPT IN WA and TAS)
There are just a few important things we need to let you know about before you register.
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
In order to receive your WA white card, you will be required to:
- Acknowledge that you received advice from Urban E-Learning that WA white cards can only be issued to persons located in WA at the time of assessment
- Confirm you are located in WA at the time of the assessment and provide the physical address (in WA) where the assessment was undertaken, and
- Agree to participate in the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) audit programme, where you may be contacted by the DMIRS to confirm that assessment occurred in WA
To complete your White Card Course Online, you will need:
Basic Computer Skills
English language, literacy and numeracy skills
In order for you to do this course online, you will need to complete some mandatory Government training requirements. These are the same for all White Card course providers:
Complete the Online Training Modules
This will include a short knowledge assessment after each module
Upload copy of ID* and complete the final assessment
Please note: A live video verbal assessment conducted via audio visual media during AEST business hours is required.
*If you do not have required photo ID, your ID documents will need to be ‘certified’ by an ‘authorised’ person
Submit your Declaration
Please note: Sign the Declaration Form we supply either manually or electronically
We will step you through the requirements in the course. If you follow the instructions, it’s an easy process. We do have to make sure you have covered each step so we can issue your White Card.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Requirement and option to purchase:
Note: You NEED a hard hat, high-visibility clothing, ear and eye protection to complete the new White Card assessment following changes implemented 19th October 2017. You will not be able to complete the assessment without these four items of PPE. If you do not already own these items of PPE, Click Here to view examples of the required PPE and information on where PPE can be purchased.
Course Duration (approx.):
- Content: approx. 5 hours;
- Assessment: 1+ hours including live video verbal assessment, including, demonstrating fitting of PPE
