Construction Watchdog Bill Rejected Again

Following the results of the Royal Commission into union corruption, the bill to have the construction industry watchdog The Australian Building and Construction Commission restored, has been rejected by the Senate again.

Australians may have to go to the polls after the Senate rejected the federal government’s latest attempt to restore the ABCC.

Mr Turnbull has vowed to use a second rejection of the bills as a trigger for a July 2nd election.

According to the Prime Minister, the industry needs a watchdog to stamp out misconduct in the construction industry.
