Worker Hospitalised After Excavator Incident

The risks involved with operating an excavator have been highlighted by an incident on a construction site in Queensland recently.

A worker has been hospitalised after being crushed by an excavator at a construction site in south east Queensland.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was injured when the excavator he was operating rolled over him at a property in Currumbin Waters.

The worker sustained serious abdominal and pelvic injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
