An accident at a work site in Perth’s south-east has claimed the life of a worker who had been unloading a truck at the time.
According to reports, the man was crushed at the Welshpool steel fabricator site.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and attended to the man, believed to be in his 40s. He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but having sustained life-threatening injuries, died a short time after.
Investigators examined a steel pipe but its unclear whether that pipe fell from a truck.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
