View the Updated Work Related Fatality Figures

The latest Safe Work Australia fatality figures have been released and it indicates that 118 people have died on Australian work sites in 2018.

The industry with the most fatalities was once again the transport, postal and warehousing industry with 38 fatalities. The construction industry came in the top 3 with 21 recorded fatalities, exceeded only by the transport and agriculture, forestry and fishing industries.

Let’s work to make 2019 a less tragic year for workplace health and safety by prioritising site safety. This begins by ensuring everyone on site is qualified to be there, in construction this means possession of a White Card. Find out more here.
