Video Launched to Promote Truck Safety

A new safety video has been launched, that was developed by Melbourne creative agency Hard Edge, supported by Swinburne University, the Australian Trucking Association, Melbourne Metro Rail Authority, National Road Safety Partnership Program, Transport Accident Commission and Mr Smith Projects (video production), to improve truck safety.

The video demonstrates how safety understanding changes behaviour around trucks. The video allowed Re:act participants to share how the program had changed their attitudes and behaviour towards trucks and truck drivers and humanised truck drivers, hopefully improving interactions between cars and trucks.

As interaction between cars and trucks increases, with the number of trucks on the road expected to double over the next 2 decades, we need to change attitudes of drivers towards trucks and change their behaviour around trucks.
