You may be surprised to hear that certain jobs require mandatory CPR training. CPR or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation also known as First Aid training is important for workers in high risk industries for obvious reasons.
Construction workers and electricians must complete CPR training because they are exposed to an environment considered high-hazard where there are many opportunities for injuries to occur.
In case of an accident, electric shock, fires, explosions and other injuries where you may need to help a co-worker, CPR training is necessary.
Your training doesn’t end there though. In the construction industry you will also have to undergo general construction induction training, no matter the job that you’re doing on the construction site. This is also mandatory under WHS regulations and will ensure you know how to work safely in the construction industry.
