Silicosis Death Prompts Fear of Epidemic

The death of a Queensland worker from silicosis, has prompted fears of an epidemic of deaths in the industry. More cases of silicosis among tradies has begun to emerge.

Anthony White is believed to be the first tradesman in Australia to die of the disease, with his brother who worked alongside him also being diagnosed with the disease.
