Safe Work Australia Releases Latest Workplace Fatality Figures

Safe Work Australia has released the latest workplace fatality figures and according to it, 83 Australian workers have been killed on the job since the start of the year.

The industry with the highest number of fatalities is the Agriculture, forestry & fishing industry with 26 deaths but the construction industry isn’t far behind with 14 fatalities and having the third most fatalities by industry.

According to Safe Work Australia preliminary data, 187 Australian workers were killed at work in 2017.
