Proposal Could Result in Taller Timber Construction

Australia may get taller wooden structures if a proposal to change the National Construction Code (NCC) Volume 1 to allow timber construction in buildings up to eight storeys for apartments, hotels and offices comes to fruition.

The proposal being led by The Forest and Wood Products Australia Limited (FWPA) is leading the way for taller timber construction projects in Australia.
