NSW Budget Allocates $10million To Keeping Workers Safe

The NSW Budget for 2018-19 has allocated $10million to worker health and safety, increasing substantially funding to the state’s workplace safety regulator – Safe Work NSW

The government made a big investment in SafeWork initiatives to improve workplace safety and the mental health of workers.

Matt Kean, Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation said the 2018-19 funding for SafeWork would include an investment in the Mentally Healthy Workplaces strategy, Expansion of the Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program, rebates for small businesses to improve worker health and safety and $200,000 towards the Roadmap Health and Safety Landscape projects.

He said the investment shows  THE NSW government’s commitment to providing vital services and doing everything to promote workplace health and safety.
