If you’ve always worked in the residential construction sector and want to move to commercial construction, or vice versa, or in fact from any one construction sector to another, it’s important to ensure you’re employable.

You may already be competing with others looking to transition onto new project types so it’s crucial you take the necessary steps to ensure that you are employable. Timing is also important and training. Make sure you have skills that are in demand across various sectors.

It also helps to have a general construction induction card – the white card. This is mandatory for all construction workers and having it in your possession already will make you more desirable to potential employers.
