The residential construction industry in Melbourne has officially surpassed Sydney as the epicentre of the nation’s housing construction boom.
New research from the Housing industry Association (HIA) revealed that 12 of the 20 residential construction “hotspots” were located in Melbourne over the last financial year.
A hotspot is classified as a region with at least $150 million worth of residential building work in a 12 month period and a rate of population growth exceeding 1.6 per cent which is the national average.
This is good news for tradies and companies involved in the construction fields in Victoria but if you want to work on a construction site in Australia, you must complete general construction safety training first, commonly known as The White Card course (CPCCWHS1001). To complete the course quickly and conveniently today, you can do so online here.
