Latest Report of Workplace Fatalities Released

Safe Work Australia has released the latest monthly notifiable fatality report and according to it, there were 21 workplace deaths reported in December 2017.

According to the report 6 fatalities were categorised as vehicle incidents – air crash while 5 involved vehicle incidents on a public road. Three fatalities involved being hit by a falling object and one vehicle incident – other. There were 4 other fatalities.

Two of the fatalities were from the construction and manufacturing workplaces.

Fourteen male workers were killed as well as 3 male bystanders. Two female workers as well as 2 female bystanders were also killed.
