Importance of Electrical Safety Highlighted

Friday 28 April was the World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Workers’ Memorial Day.

Held annually, this year it coincided with Safe Work Australia’s World Day for Health and Safety at Work.

One of the messages of the day was the importance of electrical safety at work.

Essential Energy encouraged workers to consider electrical safety and tradespeople and construction workers were reminded to be particularly mindful of electrical hazards.

In the construction industry, we must assess the risks of working near an electrical hazard and implement the necessary controls to prevent incidents that may be life threatening.
