How Queensland Plans to Tackle Workplace Health and Safety Issues

Queensland Work Health and Safety Board, the state’s peak advisory board to the government on work health and safety, has designed a 5 year plan to make WHS in the state safer.

The plan comes in response to the recommendations of the Best Practice Review into Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

The board is compromised of representatives from trade unions, academia and employer associations.

Over the 5 year period, the board identified 4 main areas on which to focus including  embracing innovation and technology, designing healthy and safe work, fostering a culture of health and safety, and effective regulation.
