Gold Coast Tradesman Dies from Silicosis

A Gold Coast man who was diagnosed with silicosis, the devastating lung disease has died.

The 36 tradesman Anthony White was diagnosed with silicosis, the disease that causes scarring of the lung tissue in November 2017.

There are fears of an epidemic, with a number of other workers having been diagnosed with the disease.

During his personal struggle with the disease, the victim highlighted the deadly consequencces of prolonged and unprotected exposure to silica dust.
