The cross-border construction project has begun in The ACT, promising to deliver 6500 new homes to the state.
Construction on the first stage of the Ginninderry project has begun, a joint venture between the ACT government and Riverview Developments.
Part of the project includes 350 homes that will be powered solely by electricity.
Civil works on the project will be finished in March or April next year.
Stage one of the civil engineering works has created about 250 jobs.
The joint venture has about 30 stages of works planned on both sides of the NSW/ACT border.
As cross border construction projects become more common in the coming years, it’s a good thing the White Card course is nationally consistent and the accreditation is nationally recognised. This will ensure safety standards are consistent across borders, but you won’t have to repeat the training if you’re involved in work across borders. The White Card is recognised in all states and territories.
