Crane Incident Results in Fatality on Canberra Site

Another construction worker has been killed on the job, this time in The ACT.

The man was working at the University of Canberra Public Hospital worksite recently when a mobile crane tipped over.

The crane is believed to have been moving a large generator at a low height when it rolled onto its side and struck the man. He was prounounced dead on the scene despite attempts by his co-workers to revive him.

The incident is being investigated by WorkSafe ACT.
