Construction Workers Discover 5000 Year old Community

It seems construction workers in Korca in southeastern Albania have discovered a 5000 year old community with about 1000 layered graves.

Workers were undergoing excavation at the site in an area that makes up a rich agricultural basin. They were getting ready for a gas pipeline construction project when they made the discovery.

The area seems to be archeologically rich with more than 20 Neolithic sites being found in Albania, dating back to the 7th and 3rd millennia B.C.
