Construction Worker Loses A Foot in Victorian Building Site Accident

A terrible workplace accident has claimed the foot of a construction worker at a Melbourne construction site.

The 40 year old construction worker was working on an external lift at a luxury apartment development in West Melbourne when the incident occurred and the worker’s foot was clipped.

The man was transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital and work on the site was temporarily shut down.

He’s in a stable condition in hospital, unfortunately his foot could not be saved.

The CFMEU expressed its dismay at the horrific incident and called upon governments to address worker safety.
