Construction Worker Injured by Drill

A construction worker at a construction site near Movie World on the Gold Coast has been admitted to hospital after being impaled by a drill in a tragic accident.

The 42 year old male worker impaled himself by accident, while using a hammer drill. The man was impaled in the groin area, with the drill penetrating his groin by about 5cm.

The worker was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after the accident, where a scan later revealed he had no internal injuries.
