Building activity in Western Australia has given the construction sector a boost in the June quarter.
WA led the rise in construction activity at 25.5 per cent.
Work on several massive resources projects in the state caused an unexpected rise in construction activity recently, despite the fall in home building.
Construction work done in the 3 months to June rose 1.6 per cent, seasonally adjusted, beating expectations of a 1.5 per cent fall – welcomed news for builders and everyone involved in construction.
