A worker’s fall injuries have resulted in charges for 2 companies and their respective directors in Darwin.

The 19 year old worker fell 2.9 metres through a void due to a lack of edge protection at the site in August 2016.

The worker suffered a broken femur and getting him medical assistance was delayed by the fact that the workers on site had limited English speaking abilities.

The man’s employer as well as the contractor in charge of the site have been charged as well as their directors and face hefty penalties if found guilty.
