Two tradesmen who witnessed the fatal accident that claimed the lives of their workmates on the Jaxon construction in East Perth in 2015 have told a court what happened on that day.
Two Irish construction workers were killed when a massive concrete panel weighing 3 tonnes fell. The 2 witnesses said they ran for their lives when the panels fell.
The workers were speaking in Perth Magistrates Court where WorkSafe alleged that the site manager’s dereliction of duty contributed to the deaths of the 2 workers. He has since been cleared of all charges as the magistrate found that WorkSafe did not prove their case beyond reasonable doubt.
