The Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency and Queensland Building and Construction Commission will be holding a seminar to raise awareness about the risks of imported products containing asbestos which has plagued the Australian building industry.The seminar is free and will address how asbestos importation is regulated at our borders and the responsibilities of businesses in importing products. It will also address how businesses can verify that products being imported do not contain asbestos.
The seminar will include an interactive panel at the end.
The seminar will take place at the Pullman Hotel, Norfolk Room – King George Square in Brisbane on Monday, 30 April 2018 from 9amm to 12:30om, where morning tea and lunch will be provided.
