We can expect to see an almost three billion dollar increase in the home renovations sector, according to the Home Industry Group.
The HIA expects that homes built during the boom times of the 1980s are going to be upgraded and refurbished soon.
According to the latest forecast, the HIA expects the home renovations sector to increase from $32.228 billion in 2016/17 to $35.120 billion in 2019/20.
With a large number of homes having been built throughout the 1980s, they are now approaching the 30-35 year mark, during which re-modelling and renovation are common. Also people’s perceptions of the perfect living space changes through the decades and they remodel their homes accordingly, this is good news for contractors and those involved in home renovation related industries.
