97 Workplace Deaths in 2018

According to the latest Safe Work Australia figures, 97 Australians were killed at work in 2018.

The figures are based upon media reports and are a preliminary estimate of workplace fatalities across Australia.

The top three industries with the most fatalities come as no surprise.

Once again the transport, postal and warehousing industry topped the list with 29 fatalities recorded, followed by the agriculture, fishing and forestry industry with 28 fatalities. The construction industry has the third highest number of fatalities with 19.
